Following a highly successful Hobie 16 North Americans on Lake Mohave in 2010, the Hobie 17 & 18 classes will revist this venue for their North American Championships in 2012. Lake Mohave offers breezy, flat water sailing in a stunning desert environment.The Cottonwood Cove resort will again be the host. You will want to book your accommodations early as there are limited options. Cottonwood Cove Resort offers a small motel, a limited number of very nice houseboats and a large full service campground. The houseboats are great for a great option for a group and everything is very close to the beach where the boats park.
Travel by air is via Las Vegas International airport about two hours drive time. Stock up on food and other necessities before leaving the Las Vegas/Henderson area as Cottonwood Cove is "remote". The closest town is Searchlight, NV and is 14 miles away, there isn't much in Searchlight.
